Do you take insurance?

Northeast Evaluation accepts some insurances. Please contact our office for details. We can also provide a superbill for clients to submit if we don’t take your insurance and you would like to use your out-of-network benefits.

What should I do to prepare for the evaluation?

Get a good night’s sleep, eat a good meal, and refrain from using substances (alcohol, non-prescribed drugs) on the night before/day of the evaluation.  Take your medications as prescribed.  Bring glasses and hearing aids with you.  You don’t need to prepare in any other way.

What should I expect once the evaluation is scheduled?

The evaluation consists of a clinical interview, typically lasting between 30 and 60 minutes, during which the neuropsychologist will ask you about your history and current concerns. You will then participate in neuropsychological testing, which involves assessment of attention, memory, problem-solving, emotional functioning, and other domains. Tests will involve some writing, drawing, answering questions, and completing questionnaires. Some tests will be easy and some will feel hard.
